Roseta by Syliva Zet

Hello,

Is everyone having a good summer? It is humid and warm here with a lot of rain.  I hope the sun comes out soon.

Today I am featuring this pretty stamp by Sylvia Zet for Whimsy Stamp. I colored her with Copic markers and used some fran tage. If you haven't tried the fran tage I highly recommend it. You can create some cool affects with frantage. I inked up all the edges of my paper. Figured out my design and added embellishments to complete my card.  I hope I have inspired you today to try something new!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Isn't She Lovely

Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am, we are supposed to have some nice weather. Which is a really pleasant break from all the rain.

Last week I got a nice package from Diana over at Magnolia. I so excited when I received my order.  Yesterday I got to play with “Cute Little Tilda.” I fell in love with her.

I decided to do a little something different for my card. I found a fan template online and decided it would be perfect. I colored my image with Copic markers (skin E000, E00, E11, R20; hair E50, E51, E53; outfit and bow R81, R83, R85. I added polka dots to her outfit with a white poster paint sharpie.
I used my spellbinders to cut out the round circles. I gather the lace behind the second oval. Fran tage is so awesome; I added Fran tage to the top edges of the fan and around Tilda. She looks like she is kneeling in a pile of fine feathers. To complete the design I used Cheery Lynn Dies – Flourish and Butterfly, added a few flowers, and some pearls to the butterfly.

Paper Piecing Tutorial

Hello Inky Fans,

Today I wanted to show you the card I made by paper piecing my image.  This first photo is the stamp, ink and spellbinders I used to begin creating my card.

Next I chose my paper and stamped my image pieces that are to be used to dress Lili and cut them out.

Here are the pieces that I cut our that will be used to finish my design.

I colored my image with Copic Markers. The colors are show below. I used a gold Spica pen for the buttons on her rain jacket.

First I colored the image. Then I used Martha Stewart all purpose glue to adhere the pieces I cut out.

Now for the finishing Touches. I used a fine glitter on the rain drops. Lastly, to the image I used fran tage to the puddle. The water appears to be splashing up. Love this stuff. I hope I have inspired you today! Thanks for stopping by Karen.

Totally Tilda - Design Team Call

Hello,

I was so excited when I saw that Totally Tilda was having a design team call! The theme is my interpretation of summer. I love the beach. In my design I am showcasing Flip, Flop Tilda and Oyster with Pearl from the Summer Memories collection. Summer is about going to the ocean, collecting shells and walking on the beach.  What a peaceful way to relax. And the sand between your toes is great. Lastly, the best part is at the end of the day you get to enjoy a seafood dinner.

I think I would be a great addition to your team because I am a team player, I love to have a good time and have a good sense of humor. Oh and I love Magnolia stamps.

Here is a close up view of the bottom of the easel card:

Tilda dreams about Paris

Hello Maggie Fans,

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I started my day at our favorite place with an raspberry/peach scone and a lovely Americano! It so peaceful and quiet there; a great way to start the day.

Today I am showcasing Circus Tilda. She is so dainty and chic. I colored her with Copics, added some polka dots to her ribbon and the part of her dress. She needed some really beautiful shoes so I used this coppery color glitter and on the trim of her dress I used a pale yellow.  I love Frantage but I have to tell you it was a challenge to add it one it was cut. And then try not to burn yourself. LOL! So without further ado, here she is.

Princess Pea Tilda

Hello,

I am very excited. Usually when the new stamps come out I wait to long to order them from Diana and then the one I want are not available. However, on Friday I ordered 5 stamps. I can't wait to receive them!

I tried something a little different with this card. Normally, I create the design and colors in my mind so I color the image first. So last night I decided to try creating the card first then coloring my image. I was happy with the results. Let me know what you think.
